We are the only webstore in North America that offers BOTH a true merchandise stacking system (the OOH) coupled with a Flat Rate shipping policy...a true innovation that can't be found anywhere else in our particular niche market! Those services are offered exclusively to our Canadian customers. USA and international customers are welcome: just ask for a shipping quote before purchasing please.
Our Flat Rate Shipping Policy
We are offering to our Continental Canadian customers a Flat Rate shipping fee of 9.99$ CAD. For non-continental: Newfounland, Madeleine Islandsand, P.E.I., Nova Scotia and Northern Territories, please ask for a shipping quote.
We are now offering free local pickup in the Montreal and north shore cities between Laval and Repentigny area.
The delivery will take place in a common place like a shopping mall or metro station chosen by the customer and the store representative and you will need to provide proof of purchace at the moment of receiving your order.
Some very large and/or heavy items may not be covered by our Flat Rate shipping policy. Those items are always marked as not covered on the item’s description and will feature a special flat rate charge for shipping.
The Flat Rate policy applies to any order that will fit into a 16’’ X 12’’ X 12’’ box (or the volumetric equivalent).
We are using Canada Post via their Expedited Parcel Service for all Canadian customers; we will provide a tracking number for all shipped orders. You will receive this tracking number via email.
*Please note: Automaton Toys cannot be held responsible for damaged or lost merchandise once your order has leaved our warehouse!
The first 100$ worth of merchandise is covered by our Flat Rate fee.
Insurance can be added to your shipping fee to fully cover your shipment. The cost is 2$ per 100$ worth of merchandise. You can choose at checkout the amount of extra insurance you want. Automaton Toys declines all responsability for all non-insured shipments!
We do ship every business day. Payments received for purchased item(s) after 14:00 (2 p.m.) EDT on Fridays will be processed and shipped the following Monday. We only ship worldwide... ;-)

Automaton's Order On Hold (OOH) service
The OOH is a service designed to make you save on shipping. You can put on hold, for an extended period of time, in stock items and/or preordered items to be shipped together in the same box.
The need to start an OOH may arise when, for example, we received a very small or less expensive item you've preordered/ordered and for which you don't want to pay a 9.99$CAD shipping fee.
The basics rules of an OOH:
1-To start an OOH: simply write to us at email@example.com; Once we have confirmed via email, you can add items, whether they're In Stock or Preorder, at checkout. Simply choose the option 'Put item in OOH' for your Shipping method.
2-Customers are to pay for each item that will be part of an OOH as they became available (in stock).
*Please note: the OOH is NOT a service designed to hold stock for free over an extended period of time. The customer pays for items he wants to put in an OOH, as they become available.
3-The amount of items you can put in an OOH is limited by our Flat Rate shipping box which is a 16'' X 12'' X 12'' or the volumetric equivalent.
*Please note: In some situations, already paid items in your OOH may not ship with your current OOH: since it's almost impossible for us to predict the exact size of each item before we have them in hands, your current OOH might ship and not include ALL items you've paid for, if they do not fit in our Flat Rate box. In this case, the 'extra' items will automatically be part of a new OOH, OR they can ship immediately upon your request but a 9.99$CAD shipping fee will be charged.
4-Some very large items may not be eligible to be in an OOH. Those items are clearly identified on the item's page with the note: this item can't be part of an OOH.
5-When an OOH reaches its limit and is ready to ship, we will charge a 9.99$CAD directly in your account, or will be charged on a Paypal invoice with some items you have on preorder and for which payment is claimed.
Hassle-Free Preorder Policy
We do not charge anything for preorders at checkout though you can pay for a preorder immediately if you wish to. We will send you an email with instructions on how to pay for your item(s) 2-3 weeks prior its arrival at our warehouse. Simple and safe!
You can cancel a preorder without penalty: the cancellation must occured before you have received a payment claim for that specific preorder, which is typically about 2-3 weeks before the item gets in stock. Please keep track of the release date of your item(s)!
If cancellation occurs after the payment claim email has been sent, then a 15% restocking fee will apply on that specific preordered item(s), before shipping and tax.
*Please note: we reserve the right to refuse future business from customers who have cancelled preorders on multiple occasions. Our Hassle-Free Preorder Policy is there to accomodate customers on a non-regular basis.
*Please note: we will not claim payment for any item that doesn't see a release or that has been delayed: you pay only for preordered merchandise 2-3 weeks before it shows up at our warehouse. We will not charge any cancellation fee for item(s) that has been cancelled by the supplier or by us, or if a delay occurs for an item(s).
If you want to cancel a preorder, write to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org and specify the order number (or an item part of an order) you want to cancel.
