At Automaton Toys we are committed to delivering quality products at fair prices. Our goal is to make sure that satisfaction is guaranteed. We are almost maniacal in the care we take when handling your collectibles: from their arrival at our warehouse until the moment we ship them to you. All items' boxes listed on our website are at least C9 or better condition.

We have a "Not Mint and Great Deals" section on our website for items with damaged packaging under the C9 rating. We also list in this specific section some items that have been overstocked; opened box for a photoshoot and so on.

Ordering:

Prices and special offers are subject to change without notice. We are offering a 10 days period for a price adjustment if the item(s) you've purchased, in that delay, are advertised with a rebate. After 10 days, we do not grant any retroactive price adjustment. The price adjustment is always given as a store credit for your next purchase.

We make ordering convenient and take great care to ensure all information is accurate. However, mistakes may occur. We will correct any mistake as soon as possible and notify customers who are concerned.

Order cancellation:

Customers who cancel orders will be required to pay a restocking fee of 15% of the canceled item(s)'s price before shipping fee and tax(es).

Preordering :

A preorder is a commitment to purchase an item : an official contract between the customer and our store.

Preordering on our website guarantees the item is reserved for you, but in rare occurrences we may not receive our full shipment or no item at all (if manufacturer or supplier cancels it, for example). If that occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible. If quantities available are insufficient to honor all preorders, we will process those on a on first ordered-first served basis with the quantities available at this moment.

We do not charge you anything until pre-ordered items are In Stock. We are sending a detailed Paypal invoice, including shipping fees and tax(es), a few days before your items arrive at our warehouse. Our customers have 5 business days to pay their orders.

Preorder cancelLation:

Preorders can be canceled, but if cancellation occurs at the moment of receiving your invoice, then a 15% restocking fee will be charged (applied on item(s) canceled, before shipping fees and taxes).

Some specific items may have the 15% restocking fee charged at anytime if canceled. Those items are clearly marked on each item's page. Those special items may include more expensive; exclusive or special orders.

If a customer is letting his Paypal invoice without any follow up and do not answer to our emails and/or official Paypal reminders, we consider this as an official cancellation and the penalty will apply.

Furthermore, if a customer cancels one or more preorders, we do reserve the right to refuse future purchases from this customer.

Why are we having such a policy concerning the preorders?

In our specific industry, we, the retailers, have to preorder and pay the merchandise to our suppliers well in advance of the release, oftenly months before. We're using the amount of preorders registered on our website as an indicator to determine those quantities.

It greatly impacts our business when customers cancel preorders.

AUTOMATON`s Order On Hold (aka OOH)

What is the OOH ? The OOH is a service designed to make you save on shipping. You can put on hold, for an extended period of time, in stock items and/or preordered items to be shipped together in the same box.

How does it work? Customers are paying preordered items (when in stock) and/or in stock items following the availibility for each. We can then hold this merchandise for you on an extended period of time and have everything ship in the same box.

The need to start a OOH may arise when, for exemple, we receive a very small or less expensive item you've preordered/ordered and for which you don't want to pay a 9.99$. shipping fee.

Please note : the OOH is NOT a service designed to hold stock for FREE over an extended period of time! As mentionned, the customer pays for items he wants to put in a OOH as they become available. Customers who do not comply to this policy will see their unpaid items pulled out from the OOH.

Is there a limit for a OOH ? If you're from Canada and want to use our Flat Rate Shipping Policy, the answer is yes.

In this specific situation, the limit of your OOH follows the limit of our Flat Rate Shipping Policy. We will notify you via email when your OOH will reach the limit (See Shipping section below please).

Still, you can always exceeds this limit for your OOH if you wish too, but exact shipping cost will be charged.

Shipping:

We offer to our Continental Canadian customers a Flat Rate shipping fee of 9.99$ CAN (plus applicable taxes). For non-continental customers ask for a shipping quote.

Certains articles très lourds et/ou très gros ne sont pas couverts par notre Service d'Expédition à Coût Fixe. Ces articles sont bien identifiés sur notre site. Si vous dépassez les 7.0 kg/volumétrique pour votre commande, notre site calculera automatiquement les frais de poste pour l'envoi.

The Flat Rate policy applies to any order under or equal to 7.0 kg volumetric, which is roughly the equivalent of a 2' cube box full of items. Some specific, very heavy or huge items, are not elligible to our Flat Rate policy. Those items are clearly marked on our website. If your order is actually over 7.0 kg/volumetric, our website will automatically calculate the shipping cost for your order, based on your location.

Unless otherwise stated, we use Canada Post via their Expedited Parcel Service for all Canadian customers; we will provide a tracking number for all shipped orders.

You can also choose the Express Post service if you want your item(s) faster, but exact shipping fees will be charged.

For our U.S. customers, we are using UPS via their UPS Standard USA service : it's fast and very reliable. We will provide a tracking number for all shipped orders.

We do ship every business day, and your items are generally processed and shipped within 48 hrs of payment. Payments received for purchased item(s) after 15:00 (3 p.m.) EDT on Fridays will be processed and shipped the following Monday. We only ship to Canada and United States.

Automaton Toys could not be held responsible for goods damaged or lost during shipping.

Local buyers can arrange for pick-up! (QUEBEC CITY)

Returns and exchanges:

We have an Exchange/Refund Policy.

Customer must notify us via email to inform us that an exchange/refund is requested in 7 days following the delivery of your order.

Please note that shipping fees for returning/ resending items are assumed by the customers for exchanges and/or refunds unless there was a mistake on our part in shipping the wrong item(s).

We will not accept any exchange or return if the item's box has been opened! We are a small specialized store aiming at collectors : an item with an opened box looses a lot of its commercial value in our specific type of business.

If the returned item is Sold Out, we will issue a full refund upon receiving the item. This refund can be a store credit if a customer wishes to.

Payments:

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars. We accept PayPal, Paypal E-Checks, Postal Money Orders (Canada) International Postal Money Orders (USA) and Cash (local pickup). No personal cheque will be accepted !

Credit Cards payments are accepted through Paypal : simply register your credit card on your Paypal account…et voilà! It's a simple and highly secured way to pay online !

Taxes:

Quebec residents will be charged 5% GST plus 7.5% PST. Atlantic Canada residents (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland/Labrador) will be charged 13% HST. Other Canadian residents will be charged 5% GST.
